Posted - Sep 25 2014 : 09:11:59 AM I had finished milking and was through the pasture gate when I saw a small circle of dirt moving in my path, closer look revealed a tiny turtle, about the size of a quarter. It was headed the wrong way, so I put my milking equipment on the fence, picked the little one up and walked back to the pond and put her in the water. I stayed long enough to watch her swim into deeper water. This mornings gifts, a slight wind scented with sweet olive blooms, a gentle wind moving the big wind chime for a song, and a tiny life saved, a good start for any day.

Posted - Oct 10 2014 : 10:53:12 AM I always pull over when I see a turtle crossing the road, as I often do after rain. I figure he knows he's headed in the right direction (though babies probably don't!), so I put him in the grass or woods off the road in that direction. It's a nice feeling. Remember to wash your hands afterward! |

Posted - Sep 27 2014 : 07:25:35 AM Great eyesight to see something so small. The turtles in the pond and are now telling the story of the "Giant Protector" that watches over even the littlest of turtles. Good illustration of God's love.

Posted - Sep 25 2014 : 11:53:18 AM I agree, beautful, soulfull words...my mamma and dad would take turns walking in front of the tractor in certain feilds because of all the turtles, my mamma would have been devastated to find they run one over or baled one, she loved turtles...

A poem if I ever heard one. Beautiful picture painted with words.
