Ok...that didn't sound right! LOL

Anyways here's the story:
We're taking over the Mamma duties for a 3 week old female donkey. She was able to drink Mom's milk for the first 4 days so she's ok there. She takes the bottle ok & is growing strong but still a little weak. She's trying to run & kick a bit now.
There's no close vet around us or one that knows too much about donkeys. everyone is just winging it. That's where hopefully MJ ladies can help!

She's got a bit of diarrhea but not bad......could be from going from Mom's milk to powder...don't know how long she's had it though.....
anyone know what to give her??? She's VERY little so I need to act fast! I've got to shift my mind from cows to horses FAST!!!

Everybody is kind of washing their hands of her so she's coming here to live. She's sooooo cute it's a heart breaker. Will post pics asap.
THANKS for any help!
Hugs Judy

only use foal/horse suppliments and milk, anything else could be very dangerous, useing calf mix is way to strong...

Thanks Rachel,
We thought about calf meds but someone mentioned they might be too strong??
Everything is pointing to using something for horses???
Really just winging it. She steals your heart!

Any advice would be really appreciated!

I'm not sure if it would work, but possibly try the stuff that is sold for calves who have scours might help. I apologize but I can't think of the name of the scour supplement right off. I would think that it'd be ok to use for a little donkey. Adding some probiotics would be helpful also.
