I have chicken that are about a year and half old. Tonight my hubby brought in the eggs and there three very small eggs. All were in different nests. What causes this. Never had this happen before.

My dad always told us, the hen was either starting to lay or done laying, when you get those little eggs. My chickens are about the same age, and I have had a couple of those small eggs. so maybe that chicken is about done laying?
