Posted - Jun 15 2014 : 08:37:19 AM well all the girls are going either in one or two boxes and roost but the silly Rooster is still having to be placed on the roosted. I am going to keep doing this until he realizes this is where he belongs at night. Now what am I going to do with 4 hens in one box...what happens when they start laying eggs...and that is suppose to start in August...any suggestions Thanks

Posted - May 13 2014 : 3:41:19 PM In my experience, the easiest way is to wait until after full dark, then go out and reset them where you want them to roost. It may take quite a while, but eventually they will go there. I had a hen decide she wanted to roost in a nest box (out of the blue, she'd been roosting with the others forever.) It took about a week before she gave up and went up with the rest. Good luck with it.
