They will wait and take turns in the one box.

well all the girls are going either in one or two boxes and roost but the silly Rooster is still having to be placed on the roosted. I am going to keep doing this until he realizes this is where he belongs at night. Now what am I going to do with 4 hens in one box...what happens when they start laying eggs...and that is suppose to start in August...any suggestions
Thanks

In my experience, the easiest way is to wait until after full dark, then go out and reset them where you want them to roost. It may take quite a while, but eventually they will go there. I had a hen decide she wanted to roost in a nest box (out of the blue, she'd been roosting with the others forever.) It took about a week before she gave up and went up with the rest. Good luck with it.

The morning breeze has secrets to tell you. Do not go back to sleep.
