Posted - May 08 2014 : 2:02:52 PM Born in the wee hours overnight, is our newest baby, a bull calf and we've named him "DUNCAN". His mommy is Snowflake and his daddy is Nougat. I find it interesting that the red markings on his sides are very close in configuration!
Looking a bit sleepy here I think

Mom coming to check on him

Waking up and looking adorable!!!

Wonderful Longhorn markings! Mom standing over him . . . what you can't see on mom are her very imnpressive horns! The extra pair of legs belong to one of the older calves on the other side of Snowflake

Thanks for letting me share! CJ

Posted - Jun 04 2014 : 1:46:57 PM CJ: he is just adorable! When we were horseback riding in Texas we came upon a herd of longhorns. They were so tall! I hadn't been around them before. Congrats on the little one.

Posted - May 08 2014 : 3:51:33 PM Cindy, It's hard to tell the length on his horns. . . every one of our Longhorns has their own unique set of horns. Lengths and curve configurations are different for each one. Just kinds have to wait and see. One thing I love about Longhorns is that their markings are so varied! CJ
