Hello fellow FarmGirls! I'm so excited that I have to share my good news. I got a 2 wk old jersey heifer today! It's Mary Jane's fault for posting such cute pics of her calf on Facebook! Lol! I've been wanting my own milk cow so when I saw her I knew she was coming home with me. I would love to hear experiences of other FarmGirls with their milk cows. Please share!

Congrats!!! I'm a dairy farmer. My husband and I milk mostly Holsteins, but we do have 2 jersey heifers and a couple Holstein jersey crosses. I love the jerseys! They're so cute and nosey!! Here's a picture of one of mine.

Our other one is due to have her calf this weekend. I hope it's a heifer :)

Congratulations! Get ready to fall madly in love!!!! BTW, There's a fun exchange happening between me and a neighbor who has a new Jersey over on HeritageJersey.org. I wish my new book were out already. It would be so helpful to first-time owners. Patience, right? Make sure you let us know all about her.

I don't know how to post pics on here. Lol! I love Scottish Highlands! I would love to see pics of your yaks. How cool to have yaks! You will have to tell us how milking a yak goes.

Aww :) Would love to see pics! I don't have a milk cow, but I did milk my Scottish Highland cow when I had her :) Looking forward to milking some of the yaks one day.
