I recently read my very first issue of MJF. It was the March 2014 issue, and had some excellent suggestions for herbal first aid kit. The day the magazine arrived in the mail, my dog was severely constipated. A friend recommended trying apple juice, which really helped. The situation and magazine got me to thinking, though. What about an herbal medicine kit for minor pet emergencies?

Last year, we had 3 weeks in a row where a different pet was visiting the clinic. I feel that all but one of those visits could have been avoided had we had more knowledge of the remedies right in the kitchen or field, and how to use them.
