My hubby called and asked if I could try to save a half frozen new born calf. Of course I can never refuse anything in distress. I put him in warm water in the tub and held has head up. It took about 45 minutes, but I think we are going to save him. Poor thing. Usually have one a year we have to bring in and see what we can do.

Oh Kem,

You and your honey are such a blessing. This post brought a tear to my eye. I just want to scoop up that calf and give him a big hug! You are wonderful!!

Oh, so glad for him making it! I've had baby goats in the house but never a calf!

Kem so glad he is doing better. He sure is a handsome fella. I just love it when there is a happy ending. Glad you were able to do that for the little guy.

I wanted to name him miracle baby. Hubby wanted to name him Bubba. Probably our grandkids will end up naming him. It really was our son's calf. We just happen to have his cow at our place when she delivered. Watch each other's cows. He would have saved ours if it would have been at his house. The calf was huge and I think Bubba fits a bull calf. Grateful he made it. I always get depressed if we lose one.

All is well, and the calf has been reunited with his momma. She was glad to see him and ready to be a momma.
