We were late getting ours this year but they will be old enough to put in the chicken house this fall.
They are so cute with their little tiny wings. Some of them are a little skiddish but some will hop right up on my hand when I put the feed in their dish.

Denise, we got black star chicks this Spring too. One of them laid her first egg yesterday, and it was surprisingly large! They all turned out really pretty too. Once their combs developed and turned bright red, they stood out very striking against their greenish body and gold necklace-like feathers.

Paula,
They are Black Star. They are supposed to be good layers and are not easily startled. I have been going out on checking on them. They are eating and drinking quite well already.
