In May of this year, I started fostering those 2 little 3-day old bunnies. Now they are almost 2 months old. They started out in a cardboard box. When they started jumping and climbing, I moved them into an old metal bird cage. Yesterday, I had to move them to a large cage, outside. I thought I had put them in a protected place, near the porch, under the overhang. Well, at 2 am this morning, I was awakened by a monsoon-type rain storm. I went outside in my pj's to check on them and sure enough, the water was hitting the concrete patio so hard it was splashing up into their cage. They were trying their best to hide in the nest box and not get wet. I knocked the piece of wood off the top and dragged the cage up onto the porch, dragged it through the pantry, and the kitchen out onto the covered back porch. When I was done, I walked back in the house to a growling dog, miffed cats and 2 guys just sitting there staring at me. Apparently, I made a little too much noise. I just shrugged my shoulders, said "Whaaat?" and went back to bed. I'm the one who had to get up at 6:30 to get ready for work. DH is on factory shut down vacation and DS is on his summer break. I don't know what their problem was.
