Sheila, you did a great job, and it looks really nice. I know it makes you proud to accomplish things on your own. and especially to save money. Good luck with your bees! Farmgirl #946 Linda

Sheila, I could not see the hat well enough to tell you swapped it, but glad you still could use the one I sent. I hope maybe next year I can join you with bee keeping. I have so many honey bees in my garden but husband does not like the idea of housing them. I have to work on that one a bit.

Hi Kris :) This is our first year doing bees up here -- we had them before in OH, but this year (in VT) we're going to try a top bar hive. . .will be interesting to see how that goes!! :)

That's a really good idea. Sheila. I'm sure it saved you a lot. We have a bee store here so I get all my bee stuff there. I bought a full bee suit, the hive tool and a smoker for only $87.oo. So not too awful bad. Then went back and got gloves, a hat and something else for about $35. I love that store. So how many hives do you have? It was a bad bee year up there, I heard.

Thanks Kelly :) Did you notice the hat is different - I swapped out the hat I got from you for my gardening hat and used my gardening hat for the bee jacket :) Thanks again for that trade!

Thats really looks nice and I bet it did save some money. Those outfits can be quite pricey. I know it wasn't cheap 19 years ago when we bought one for our son. I think you did a super fine job for sure.
