Posted - Apr 14 2013 : 08:56:07 AM I caught a couple of our week-old black sex-link chicks sunbathing on top of their electric hen this morning. They had their wings spread out all relaxed and soaking in the rays. The morning sun comes in the window in the garage where I have their brooder, and even though it might be warmer under the electric hen, they seem to enjoy the natural sunshine even more.

Posted - Apr 15 2013 : 09:20:12 AM They really are growing up fast! I decided yesterday that it was high time to put some chicken wire over the top of their brooder because those busy little girls were showing signs already of trying to make a break for it!
