Hi All,
I am new here and wanted to introduce my Barnyard Buddies.

I have 15 Buff Orphington hens and I Rooster names Roy. Here are a few pics of them. Enjoy!!

The (Kuntry Klucker) or the coop from the front

Roy the best rooster ever. He is a gentle giant. Great with the ladies and kind to humans.

Yes!!!! I love the Buff Orphington's, they are my favorite breed.
They lay large to Xlarge eggs. Are very calm and patient and are
great with my kids. I would say they are among some of the best breeds for backyard chicken keeping. They are fluff balls so molting is fun. I think I collected enough feathers when they were molting to stuff a pillow. I am going to use them to make some crafts. They feathers they shed are so pretty that I just could not throw them away.

Thanks, you flock sounds lovely. My ladies are going on 3 years old. They are still laying very well. I was told that after the 2nd year their egg production goes down. My ladies don't show any sign of laying off anytime soon.

We love their company in the backyard, plus all the help they give us in the gardens with their compost and desire to eat the bugs off the plants for us. The ultimate garden helper.

Thanks ladies. My ladies are great and I love them to bits. I had no idea that keeping chickens could
be so much fun. Jimmy Buffet, that is such a cute name for a rooster. Sounds like he is a good boy too.

My ladies get excited when they see me get the garden in. They know that it means some good
eats later when I let them out to take care of the weeding and bugs for me. They are great
garden helpers.

Hello and welcome to the forum! I love Buffs. I have had plenty. My rooster was Jimmy Buffet. He was such a good roo. And I loved the hens. That's a great coop. I had to put my 4 hens and the roo in the coop so I could get the garden started. They think I do all that for them.
