Posted - Mar 17 2013 : 1:39:40 PM Just depends. There are breed standards. They are smaller than a Nubian but larger than a Nigerian. Who they get bred to depends on their generation and what I'm trying to improve or correct.

Posted - Mar 17 2013 : 1:37:09 PM How big do the minis get? Are they as small as Nigerians? Will they be mated back to a mini nubian? |

Posted - Mar 14 2013 : 06:43:47 AM Dalyn, I am not usually on the forum, but I have to tell you that I love your name " Queen of Quite A lot " if you don't mind I will use that with my family. I am sure this is very true of many women on Maryjanes site. |

Posted - Mar 12 2013 : 07:47:55 AM Thanks Kris, yes I have been consumed with foster babies until the point of exhaustion. I am determined to manage a lighter load and be able to enjoy my animals and get healthy. In our valley there are more babies (all I take) and children needing homes than there are homes. I usually wind up with one too many and then I feel I'm not doing well at anything. I have learned a lesson in balance though. :)

Posted - Mar 12 2013 : 07:08:57 AM Dalyn, it's so good to see you here again. I've missed you. But looking at your blogs, I see you have been a very busy lady. I hope all the babies are well now. And you too. It seems mothers are kind of pushed to the back taking care of all the children. All you 4 legged kids are beautiful! Love all the spots. I am back to milking twice a day again. I love raw goat milk! I also got my citric acid I ordered from Hoegger so I can make mozarella again. I want to try some marinated with herbs. I just bought some for $5 at Aldi. And I have gallons of milk in the fridge.
