Our little calico kitty passed away today. She was fifteen. I had her since she was a kitten, but she has always been the kitty with the most health issues. She had been on medication for at least a year and a half or two. The vet told us it would prolong her life, not cure her. But still, even knowing we were on "borrowed" time, it's still heartbreaking. Poor Audrey is sad, too. We knew it wouldn't be too long before we'd have to bid goodbye to our older kitties, and one reason we said she could get her kitten, Mittens. It still didn't make it easier. :(

Wish our fur babies lived as long as us. She knew we loved her, and I told her to give those mice in Heaven a good chase. Sad day.

I know so many Farmgirls here have been through the same thing lately. Our fur babies really leave paw prints on our hearts, don't they?

Hugs,

Nicole

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Thanks everyone. She was so much a part of our "routine". She greeted me every morning at the fridge when I made lunches for Audrey and Kim, and giving her her pill was the first thing I did every morning and last thing each night. Weird she wasnt there. My other cat is acting like Velcro. But on a bright note, we had much more time than we thought we would. Audrey's teacher's cat died yesterday too.

Been through it many times, part of having a pet, but wouldn't trade anything at all - she gave us so much love!

Hugs,
Nicole

My dear sweet Nicole,Audrey and Kim,
I am so sorry that your lost your fur baby. Our pets are indeed part of the family and it really does hurt and make our hearts ache when we loose them.
What a lucky kitty to have been a part of your family for all those years.
Hugs to you- especially Audrey- I know how hard it is for littler ones to accept the lose of a pet. I am glad that she has Mittens to console her and cuddle with.
Hugs,

I'm sorry for your loss. I saw the cutest ring yesterday--it had a big pawprint on it--that's all. But that says it all.

Don't know why the photo went sideways. That was this past summer.
