This is me with one of the project horses we bought last year. He's 3 yrs old. As it turns out he has needed some mental rehab because he wasn't socialized properly in the home before where we bought him. He has no idea how to get along with the other horses, and is very accident prone. We've been busy just getting through the cold this winter but I am planning to get some more time with him this spring. He is very sweet and has very impressive bloodlines. He is also for sale and we hope to get him somewhere that he will get a lot of human attention and reach his potential. My daughter started him under saddle last spring and I am looking forward to getting him out on the trail a lot this year unless he sells before then. We will also get him on the barrel pattern. These pics were taken last summer, he has filled out and grown a lot since then. He's a real sweetie.

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I love all of them which is why when I sell them it feels like my hearts been jerked out and stomped on then shoved back in my nose. But I can't keep them all and I try to make their life better while they are here and get them to somewhere that they are loved and can reach their potential. Some are keepers forever. I try to make sure they all behave well so that if something should happen to me they will be good and well broke so they will be easier to love on down the road somewhere. It helps if they are well bred too. Well broke and well bred and papered gives them the best chances of having a good life. Peppy is a sweet good boy but he can be a knucklehead sometimes too. He just doesn't understand that he's being aggrevating to the other horses...lol. It's sad when they are like that. We let our colts run with the herd and their moms till they are about 6 months old. Then wean them for a couple months and put them back out with the herd. It teaches them manners and how to survive and fit in. But I will work with Peppy to make him more aware of himself and his surroundings. It's fun to teach them things, and when they get it it's so cool. Trail riding helps a lot with that. They all have a story to tell. That's what he's doing in the picture, he's telling me his story.
