I woke up at 4am this morning and could not sleep. I kept hearing a high pitched meow out front. I took a flashlight out, but only saw Tim. Guess what?

It's a kitten, that appears to have a neck or head injury. We were able to catch it and my son is driving it to the humane society. They say they will look at it, but may not have resources to rescue it. I hope they can. The little guy is holding his head sideways and crying up a storm.

I can only pray for this little guy. I have a gut feeling that a driver, driving by, threw him out the window. Maybe that's why he's hurt. There are no farmer's with cats to the north and south us.

Just makes me sick. I sure hope it wasn't a drive by, but like I said, my gut says something is off.

I did get a photo, but may not get it loaded yet today.

My daughter called them today. They named him, he's warmed up to them, and he's recovering nicely. We are very happy for the little guy. Not sure what they named him, but we may call again to see how he's doing.

It's a pretty bad photo, but we wanted to get him to town as soon as we could. My son got home and said they took "little guy" for a $30.00 donation.

It's pretty sad that innocent folks like us get footed with the bill, when it comes to rescuing animals. It makes me sick that someone would throw this little guy out the window on a highway too.

$30.00 is better than the cost it will take to treat this little guy. I'm just glad we found him when we did. My daughter told me that he may have been out there, under that evergreen tree for more than a day. She said her cat would sit in that window all day, so she may be right.

Either way, this little guy got a new chance at life. If he wasn't hurt I would have kept him for a barn cat.

I am praying a lot for that dear little kitty. I'd love to be the animal police. That sort of thing gets me so mad and upset. Hugs to the kitty.
Keep us posted, please.

Krisina, thank you for doing what you can to save the little guy. He may or not make it but you gave him a chance at life. One of my favorite pets was Mary-Margaret, a black kitten who had been strangled and thrown out of a car window. We found her hding on our pourch. My dogs found her allerting me to her. The vet treated her "road rage" and her voice (a little squeek) came back after about three months. Mary-Margaret lived with us for three years untill she finally died on the road where she began. We can't save all the neglected or abused animals we would like to but I am proud to have a farmgirl friend that tries and cares. Please keep us informed.
