Ok you all know at times I am not the sharpest tack in the box...well learned something about flea shampoo...even though we have all our cats treated for fleas they are everywhere...fleas that is not cats! so I had some left over dog shampoo & I put it in a cup with some water so when I comb the cats I can put the fleas in this & kill them...well one cat got a bit upset with me & ended up hitting the cup & it spilled on my arm...well since I was busy with the cat I didn't think tow ash it off...well let me tell you that stuff is nasty...next day I woke up feeling like my head was detached from my body, had troubles walking & had tunnel vision....couldn't talk & make sense, couldn't keep a thought in my head, by late yesterday afternoon I had a horrible headache & could barely walk down a set of stairs without hanging on to the rail...so if any of you do this with fleas don't let it stay on your skin if it spills or you will end up like I was...definitely scary to know this stuff is so bad on our skin I wonder what it does to a dog even after you wash it off?...........Michele'

Wow I am glad you're okay, there's some nasty chemicals in those formulas!
I remember when my Husband was deployed to Iraq there were people sending them dog flea collars in care packages to wear around thier wrists and ankles to repel sand fleas (a real misery there) but then it came out that they shouldn't use them that way because the chemicals can leach into thier skin and were dangerous to humans.
I would look for an herbal alternative that contains pennyroyal, there's a few natural flea treatments on the market that are safe for people and pets.
I am glad that you're better!

That is scary!!! Glad you are okay now. I will make sure not to use that on my dog. Thanks for the info.
