I went to the livestock action the other day and someone brought in a whole herd of kyoot goats...without ears. I asked the lady sitting by me if the ears had frozen off, she thought it was a breed and it was a characteristic.
The goats looked like normal goats, just little nubbins for ears. Anyway, here's the Wiki link to the goats. I liked them and thought about buying one (always used to have at least one nanny around my horses) but hubby wouldn't hear of it...

We have a Nubian LaMancha cross and she is so so so sweet. No ears, and cute as a button! :)

I used to have some LaManchas and before I obtained a LaMancha buck I bred the does to a Nubian Buck and the kids were then called NuManchas with slightly longer ears than their dams but no where near as long as the sire. They were sort of short and pointed and flopped down a bit, really cute!
Like this little brown doe on the right:
Her name is Diva and the black one next to her is a purebred Nubian named Contessa.
Oddly, when Diva had kids (2 bucks) one had short ears and one had longer floppy ears! LOL!
LaManchas are very good milkers and the LaMancha/Nubian Cross are as well!

Hahaha ok gotcha! La Mancha's are very good milkers. I've only had one in the past and he was a buck, but back in the 90s we raised dairy goats and La Manchas were recognized many times by ADGA as the heaviest producers.

Yup, LaManchas are what you saw. They're nice goats, but I can't get over their itty bitty ears. We call them "Jimmy Fallon goats" because their ears look like Fallon's...

Yep, most Lamancha's don't have external ears, some do have "elf ears" which are just a tiny flap. I've never "met" a Lamancha, but I've heard they have great personalities. :)
