A while back, our barn cat Joey died. Not long after that, a black cat with a few white spots adopted our farm (male). He's loving and has a mangled tail.

Last night, we were visiting with family in the driveway, and another male cat showed up on the front porch. It is loving, follows us everywhere, and tried to get in the house several times. I'm sure it belongs to someone, but it's very thin. We did of course feed him (hopefully not a mistake), and the kids named him just in case. He's the color of cheddar cheese, so "Cheddar" or "Cheese Puff" came to mind.

He's so loving, he even crawled in one of the dd's laps and curled up. Poor thing, I just can't take another one inside. If he stays, he'll have to be a barn cat.

Oh Kristina how precious. I just love cats! My cat Cutie isn't a lap cat, but my daughter's two cats are. So when they come for a visit, her cats are all over me and that's when Cutie gets jealous and hisses at them, instead of climbing onto my lap HaHa

Love his name and his picture! I'm waiting for one to adopt me but then I don't have a barn or even a garage for him yet so guess I need to wait a bit longer!

He looks like my Simon who is now in heaven. They are the most lovable and cuddly cats. Real Sweethearts.

Just accept it, you've been adopted. Nothing you can do about it, just go with the flow! Lurve his name!

Years ago I had a cat with the same color, named him Marmalade.

Kristina so cute. I think he found his new pad. By the way love his name.

In the photo he's "baking bread" by just seeing us near him. Gosh he's a lover.

I think he's keeping us!

Ladies,
I wish I had a video of what we viewed between the black stray (Tim) and this stray cat. It was so precious.

We have reason to believe that these cats were once our calico's babies. I know that is far-fetched, but these cats both are so loving and crawl into our laps. They both follow us and peak in the doors to see what we are doing (and want our attention).

The other day, Cheddar (his name so far) was sitting on the side porch. Tim was trying to check him out, but Cheddar was having nothing to do with him. Cheddar was under a table and Tim was down on his belly, inching his way towards Cheddar (moving his paws slowly but extremely friendly). He got so far and rolled over on his back, reaching his paws out to Cheddar. He was trying to make friends with him. Such a wonderful moment to watch.

Cheddar is sticking around and hangs out on the front porch with us now. His hideaway is an evergreen tree, and he may let Tim become his friend soon.

Our calico barn cat(Aurora), who has the same loving temperament, has already become friends with Tim. The have been seen eating together. Even a mouse.

I'm pretty certain that Cheddar has adopted us.

It is always amazing how strays find those of us who will care for them. On Monday I had a stray antellope show up to the farm and is not living in the forest with my orphaned deer. I do not get cats but do get other loved one's in need.

Hugs to your new addition inside or outside.
