Posted - Mar 24 2012 : 3:45:35 PM Every year I save up all of the leftover pieces of string, thread, yarn and ribbon from my differant projects, along with some baling twine that I un-ravel, small pieces of batting, dog hair, rabbit hair, and cat hair...I have one of those metal, 3 tier hanging baskets in a tree, just off my front porch, fill each basket with all the goodies and set back and watch all the differant birds pull out what they fancy and go add it to their nests...it looks really neat to have all the differant color nests all over in the trees and eaves...I will try and get some pictures when all the building is done and post them...

Posted - Mar 25 2012 : 08:29:29 AM I can't wait to see all the colorful nests! Another good thing to use is the suet baskets, they work perfect for the birdies to pull their strings from.

Posted - Mar 24 2012 : 5:21:06 PM OH my goodness what a fabulous idea, I will have to do this as we have lots of mountain birds, I never seen so many varieties. Of course I have never lived this high up before 9000 feet. Thanks so much Tina for the idea, I can not wait for the pictures either. Farmgirl Hugs, Debbie
