Simply a wonderful story. It sounds like it was quite the journey- but in the end well worth it to save such a beautiful girl!

What a gorgeous girl--all made better by the people who loved her and cared for her. You go, Penny--and you go, Sherrye! That triumphant stance of yours in the picture says it all. Ain't she a beaut!

Sherry I think what you accomplished with your cow is absolutely fantastic. You worked on her and researched until you cured her. Most people would have given up and she would have been another casualty. You are such a cool person and glad you are Maryjanes to share what you do. Thanks for being you.

good morning girls, it is such a joy to know she is going to be ok. all she ever wants to do is lick me and be milked we will breed her and belle in june i have heifers calving in oct. nov. i want to spread out their freshening. A-2 A-2 milk is a dna test. milk with A-1 genes has a broken protein cassien(spelling) molecule. the peptide has a broken piece missing. it causes many folks to have symptoms like lactose intolerance. it causes inflamation in the body and copies opiate molecules. it lands in the site for opiates and makes some folks dopey. i have been growing my girls and testing all babies for this gene. i have all my cows now are A-1 A-2 or A-2 A-2.isabell and freckles are my two cows that are A-1 A-2. yes if they are half even it is a good thing. dr. paulson and gerson recommend A-2 milk. it is a test using tail hairs. they get the dna off the hair. i believe it is better for you to drink. i know it is really easy to digest it has the same size molecule and dna as goat milk. hope this helps. happy days to you sherrye

Sherry- what do the different types mean? A-2? Is that a milk type or something?

Wow! I sold a goat once and then the people gave her back to me and with mastitis. But she was pregnant when they gave her back and it didn't show up till she kidded. Their daughter accidentaly told me that they knew it when they gave her back but didn't bother to tell me. So I got her over it but that one side of the bag shut down and never did give milk again, however she did give just as much milk from the one side after that than what she gave from both sides before. So anyway my point is what a cool thing that your cow still can give milk. What a great accomplishment for you!

she came to us as a rescue cow. she calved and was full of strep and staph bacteria in her udder. this is usually a death sentence. her previous owner loved her very much. she sold her to us to try to save her. all 4 quarters were sick. she calved in june we got her in aug. or so. since then we have had vet visits and the vet schools for both wash. and oregon helping. we tested treated tested treated tested over and over. i did want to give up twice. her previous owner saved once. she said she w-2. so i am able to ask more money for her milk. it is super yummy. so 8 or 9 months of work did pay off. happy days here sherryeould paay her keep. so i said ok. then one more time she was sick. i was ready to fall down and cry and die. papa said not yet. so we treated her with HERBS> YES HERBS>>> we used synergy products on her. there is golden seal and a bunch of stuff in it. you infuse them like and antibiotic in the teat. we used their superior cow cream on outside udder. she is now well. she has such a kind patient heart and soul. we were shoving stuff up her teats for months on end. when she came she was cut up on her teats as well. now she is just fine. such a good cow. she is also A-2 A
