Posted - Mar 25 2012 : 01:27:30 AM Love the photo of him looking up at you with the tip of his tongue out. Lots of energy in him, you can tell. So glad that this worked out so beautifully for you. I followed your posts as you waited for him. I just love dogs and understand being in love with certain breeds. So glad you found each other. Marianne |

Posted - Mar 22 2012 : 07:40:40 AM SO cute, Audrey!!! Kipper reminds me of our little miniature Schnauzer we had when I was a kid. She was awesome! I'm sure he is, too! Enjoy every moment! Hugs - Nini

Posted - Mar 21 2012 : 2:56:04 PM Jonni, that's what so great about Cairns, they have a little bounce in their steps. He was out at the office patrolling his yard, keeping those wascally wabbits away! Just be-bobbin' down the fence...
Thanks Debbie, you're right about the mischief! But he's a good natured little guy, not too destructive.

Posted - Mar 21 2012 : 11:08:27 AM Audrey, seems I totally missed this thread. Kipper is so sweet looking but I see some mischief in those eyes of his. Glad you and your family are enjoying the newest member of your family. Love the pictures, thanks so much for sharing. Farmgirl Hugs, Debbie

Posted - Mar 21 2012 : 10:47:15 AM Thanks Natalie! We are very pleased going through this rescue group. They do an awesome job matching up families and Cairns. Kris he's 5 (will be 6 in June)but he acts like he's 1. Everything is new to him just like a young pup. We've been lucky so far that two lamps weren't plugged in and one was plugged into a dimmer and the dimmer was off. I've since gone through the house and made sure there were no plugged in cords that he couldn get too. He has gotten snapped by a mouse trap and I hope that's as bad as it gets for him!

Posted - Mar 20 2012 : 1:54:35 PM He is both a cutie and trouble! You've got his personality down pat just from his pictures! We call him Tony Trouble. Yes, Alee, he's a chewer. He's already gone through 3 lamp cords, my computer speaker wire, the zipper on my wallet, MY PHONE! I'm constantly taking stuff out of his mouth. We were going to buy some bitter apple spray this weekend but it's from $8-$10 for a little bottle! I remember we tried lime juice with Hobbs so I bought one of those little balls of juice that I'll just have to keep handy.
He makes us smile every single day. And he really reminds me of Hobbs. Being the same breed they share a lot of the same characteristics. But unlike Hobbs, Kipper lets me pick him up and cuddle him and squeeze him and kiss him. Hobbs never would tolerate that much affection. He really is a good dog, just doesn't know his boundries yet. But he'll be going to school soon so he won't be quite such a heathen dog!

Posted - Mar 20 2012 : 04:59:37 AM I love him! I am so glad you got a cairn to love! Our new puppy that we got after Sky passed away is so much more active and troublesome. Just today she chewed the legs off one of Nora's barbie dolls. It's amazing how the dogs are so different and yet I still see little glimpses of things that Sky would do here and there. They sure are a change of pace though, huh?
