Posted - Feb 25 2012 : 08:10:23 AM You may or may not have seen a Cayuga duck before-- a beautiful all black duck that shimmers like green satin in the light.
A beautiful animal in it's own right-- but any guess what it's eggs look like?
This is my cayuga hen Sneeches' first egg of her laying life. Ever egg she lays in the future will have a progressively lighter black coating- and when she's in full production they should be a steady grey. Cool huh?
