so i have been off line with a broke computer. so while i was gone isabelle had a white park/ jersey heifer. i am so happy. she is soooo cute. i will try to post a pic. she looks like her dad. so i am hoping she has his dna genes. hoping for A-2 A-2. so will pull tail hairs tomorrow. so she did great. so far 23 hours after calving no milk fever. last year we almost lost her. she is doing great. will milk her later today some. will leave most. remember she has 2 blind quarters that fill but cannot empty. so that calcium will go back in her. so sad but how it is. baby is nursing great. her name is safflower blue. her head is so tiny. white body and black nose, ears and hooves. so far healthy girls. i am feeding kale parsley deep greens bananas corn for sugar calcium potassium and magnesium trying to ward of milk fever. any other produce or maybe comfrey to help with the calcium thing??? happy days here sherrye

Well, I thought I had written something here but guess I didn't hit submit. So I will say it again. It sounds like you are doing all the right things food wise. Lots of kale is great. I wish I could help more but sounds like Isabella is doing great so far. Hopefully she won't get the milk fever with all your good care. I bet that calf is adorable. Can't wait to see pictures.
