We slept in a little late yesterday. The cooler, rainy weather makes for good sleeping conditions. But the equines were not so sleepy and two of them were waiting expectantly at the fence, staring at the house where their humans emerge and feed them.

This is my mule, Missy and my Tennessee Walker, Prince.

I really like your mule. I have toyed with the idea of getting one for packing. I even thought about breeding my own. I don't need anymore equines. I am partial to bay animals.

Your Walker is nice. Red horses are my second favorite. I have Missouri Fox Trotters.

Thanks girls! I've had Prince since he was two, and even though I still think of him as two that was over ten years ago! I've had Missy since she was a weanling. She was born in 2003. She is a saddle mule out of a mammoth Jack named Scooter's Banjo Boy. Her mother was a very nice Quarter Horse. You can do the same thing with a mule as you can with a horse, and even more!!
Missy seems to consider herself quite the Princess, and Prince is the alpha horse of the pasture. When he leaves the pasture all heck breaks loose..there is much heehawing and whinnying echoing through the hills from those left behind.

Very pretty Paula, the look on their faces are just how my two, Joker and Jiggy look every morning if DH is late feeding them. They have run of a 50 acre hay feel but love their sweet feed in the morning. They are Missouri Fox Trotters

My first horse was a Prince and a sorrel too! What do you use your mule for? I've never had one and I'm curious what most people do with them.

Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories

They are really pretty Paula. We have two donks that let us know when we are "late" getting out to feed LOL.
