I'd been kicking this idea around for a few days, but reading about Grace's broke heart, I think she could use some cheering.

Farmgirls, is there anything better than the expression on an animals face when you have made it blissfully happy? Children show their happiness easily, and they are in fact easy to please, but there's just a deep satisfaction of being connected and being a good enough steward of God's creatures when an animal in your care is just.so.happy.

I often see it in my dogs' faces, and occasionally in my horses, and seeing it a lot lately in my new ducks. For some reason those big grins and happy animal noises just touch me so deeply. Sisters, and Grace especially, this is why we do what we do.

I love all my animals, and they love me! They are the only ones who are always happy to see me! It is such nice feeling. They make me smile too!
