This day was going down hill into the crapper and i was ready to throw in the towel. Between still trying to get quotes to put my roof, barn and fences back into place, fighting with the insurance company and then dealing with bank and I.R.S. issues I was on my knees just feeling like I could not make it thru - in tears and just wanting to run and give up all this mess....

As if the universe heard me and understood how close to the edge I was I noticed through the tears the goat girls where in a circle in the pasture. I thought OH My A snake - it has happened before. Without thinking I ran and into the pasture I went. They moved to reveal -- A Baby Goat Girl!!! That's right, 2 months after the last baby born..

Amazing!!! A Blessing!!!

It is a new mother Miss Marple and trust me I had clipped her fleece a month ago and no Baby.. I haven't stopped the tears - She is Perfect. Thank you for this blessing today, it brought be back from the edge...

I have posted a cute story of what happen to Sugar this morning and I hope well worth the read... I thank you so very much for holding him in your thoughts and prayers - Sunday was a hard day for him but this morning was truly a gift for us both.

Just thought I would let everyone know that Sugar is still moving and making his way around. He had a few more mini strokes and I think his sight has been effected a bit but his loving nature is still strong. Today, I put him in his barn to get him out of the heat - He was to silly to stop standing out in the horrible heat - almost 92 degrees here...

I did manage to out smart the goat baby and redo the barn where she can not get out. I also in doing so made it so the bottle baby goats are now getting more freedom and Olivia is having four times the space and does not have to worry about the other goats baning into her... Yeah, my brain is working now and I knew there was a way I just had to get those tiny gray cells back to work.

We also have a name for the new baby - Agatha - Shout out to Carol who is the lucky winner - knitting goodies are one their way Monday Morning.. Thanks to everyone who participated.

You are so right Tina - I just keep reminding myself what a great blessings she is but I sure could do without all the shocks to my system. Sugar was not having the best afternoon - way too hot but he is going to get a hair cut even thou he is finding the evenings still a bit cold. I did not want to give him too much change while he was so ill but I think now that the temps are to hit several days in the 90 it is way past time.

He hates haircuts but I think I will grate some more apples to tempt him into stand still...

Grace, I am so sorry you are going through these trials. But what a wonderful gift to help you over the hump and renew your belief! I hope all is settling down.

Thanks Debbie - I can not believe how much this little girl get thru every way possible - after 15 years I thought I knew all the tricks... I guess if she could materialize inside her mother they way she did fencing, panels, mesh and all that is a piece of cake.

Sugar today loved his frozen berries I treated him to for making it thru another night.. He is such a trooper but slow as a snail right now. Makes me feel like speedy roadrunner... Debbie any more sightings of Bear??? I had a baby Antelope here in front on the house the other day - first time I had one of those here... They hate the smell of llamas but this little sweet one was so incredible and the Mother let me watch it for sometime... Be Well.

How exciting or should I say frightening!!!! This morning I could not find the new baby - she decided to leave the pen and go out with her Grandmother Goat - to go eat before the sun came up. After finding her and giving her a big talking to again I then could not find Sugar. I had visions of him dead in the tall grass. After calling and calling I was in tears I remembered he is very hard of hearing - then Kasha came out of her trailer giving me a funny look - the silly goat decided to not sleep in the barn but rather to go snuggle up in Kasha's trailer... O.K. Now that I have taken a couple more years off my life over the missing animals this morning I think I have earned a stiff drink with dinner.. Oh and I get the pleasure of another roofing company company coming sometime this afternoon - Getting really tired of this - all are coming in way over what the Insurance Company says is what they think it should cost. I hate fighting with folks over what they should be doing right. I have paid for this roof 10 times with my premiums. Hope everyone else is having a better day.

Well I finally got to sleep four hours in my bed !!!! Sugar wanted to go in to the side of the barn with his charges (the one year olds or should I say teen boys) He held his own, butting several when they got to friendly (in the wrong way) and so I decided I would set the alarm and go inside to sleep on top of the bed. Strange I feel more tired then when sleeping in the barn.

As for the Wee One - little devil her - she had two walk abouts this morning and each time was not the one being worried but got her grandmother, aunt and mother in a total panic... Not to mention ME!! She did give great snuggles when I finally caught her but still not worth the stress on everyone.

It is that time of year when life is busy getting heads out of fencelines... Yep, a few goats still have not understood this process. There is one yearling boy who is not the sharpest pencil in the box and does the same section of the fence about 5 times a day... Some folks just do not learn - Oh Wait that includes ME!!

Update - Sunday was a long day - I guess I was too tired to handle much so I did what I could but sat with Sugar when I could. He was a bit scrammbled - he was having trouble finding his way around the farm and several times just stood and cried for me to come and walk him back to the barn. Heartbreaking but I was glad I could comfort him simply but touching his horns... Last night the rain finally came which I was thrilled about but we even got a bit of snow. I put a blanket on Sugar because he was shaking even with his full fleece. It rained thru the night which I was thrilled with but the temp dropped to 35 and luckly I did not put away the winter clothes...

The wee one was chilly and a bit whinny but who would blame her - Miss Marple took very good care of her but without her fleece she only had body heat to offer.

Marly thank you for you kind words - I keep reminding myself that the challenges I face can be handled I just have to find a clear mind to get me there... The challenges I face now are something I have never had to deal with before and I understand they are not life threating,at least I hope not, but none the less they have pushed my panic mode over the edge. I again want to thank everyone for the kinds words of support, prayers and friendship - it means the world to me that I am not walking on this planet alone.

Remember when it seems like we have fallen all the way to the bottom of the barrell, there is only one way out. Up! Start climbing up. I will keep you in my prayers. I believe in you, Grace. Keep us posted.

Grace,
Hang in there, prayers to you my friend. I love reading about Sugar and the new kid. It reminds me that life goes on. I think she was sent to you as a reminder. I am sure it is hard to see Sugar close to the end of his life, but what a life he has had.

Well here it is Saturday and my sweet Sugar is still with us. He did have two more mini strokes last night but has already taken his walk with me to eat the grass in the back yard and is not napping with Kasha...

As for the wee one the Naming Contest is going on my blog and I hope you all join in - great prizes are offered and you do not have to be a fiber person - I have many prizes for different types of crafts so jump in if you can.

The wee on was a good girl and kept to the barn but I did have to put her back into the pen 4 times but at least she kept herself safe in the barn.

As the Moon still is high in the sky I went to check on Sugar and he greeted me with his sweet smile and walked with me while the dew still hangs on the tall grass.

It was a busy night trying to keep the wee one in her pen with Mother and in the safety of the barn. She is such a busy body to meet and greet everthing that the farm offers. She even went over to the big billies pasture to see if she could meet her father. Instead she was greeted by the llama's who gave me their alarm call to tell me what was going on in the pasture. It was 2 am and as I go out with flashlight and nightgown there the llamas had her encircled till I scooped her up, gave her a good talking to and placed her back in the pen. Guess what I will be doing this morning??? Making a different pen because she is so small that she can just walk thru the slots of the panels. Normally the barn doors are closed during birthing season because we are in the dead of winter - never had a summer baby.... However, she gave me nipples on my check and my sturn face melted into a giggling mess.

I still ask for prayers for Sugar - he is giving his best and I wish for us to do the same. Many thanks...

Thanks so very much Inge - Sugar just finished another apple and the wee one managed to get out of her pen and I had the pleasure and honor to snatch her up and hug all over that sweet girl. She loved it but Mom gave me some nasty looks... Then my sweet bottle kids gave me tons of play time, running around and hugs and snugs so again today I give thanks for those things I do have and except that for all of us there are hard times that we just have to say "UNCLE" and remind ourselves of all the hard stuff we already got thru and came out the other side better.

I spent a great deal of time today in prayer because my DIL friends husband had a nervous breakdown and she had to commit him today for help. They have two very small kids and the world just caved in for them. So if you might also say a prayer for their family I sure would appreciate it...

Again, I thank you for your kind words and support - I give thanks each day when I remember that I have such great support from my MJ sisters...

Oh hon, my heart goes out to you. Having a friend like that for so long is both bittersweet and lovely. sometimes being brought to your knees is to allow you to be raised above and beyound the stuff that is ordinary to give you the grace to see what is extraordinary. Thinking of you and sending you as much strength to deal with lifes trials. be happy and healthy

Alee - normally they don't but I seem to have a gift I guess to keep them going. That is a great thing and then sometimes a sad thing. This evening he went and walked into the chicken coop which he has never done and sat down and made himself right at home. I think his eyesight is bad enough that he thought he had placed himself in the barn that he was in last night which is not his normal barn... Once I pointed out the mistake he followed me out of the coop and walked behind me to his new digs... The chickens are still gripping at me...

Got to love my Sugar!!! When a roofing contract came this morning and we where walking the outside of the house I was not aware that Sugar was doing his guard thing... Out of nowhere came Sugar with his best impression of a mean billy he could mustard - he summoned up his energy and ran to charge at the guy... Mind you it still was slower then a top billy would do but it is the thought that counts. I stood in front of the guy and Sugar came to a stop, looked at me, I gave him a kiss on the nose and told him to go sit with Kasha. He walked back again like a turtle but with a sense of purpose. After the guy left I went and check on Sugar because that was a long way and at his warp speed that was a ton of energy expended. So my Old Goat still protects his Mommy.... He is such a sweet heart.

Debbie thank you for the kind words and posting on my blog - I am having an issue trying to leave comments on other folks blogs - not sure what is going on.. Computers and I well we just never seem to talk the same language.

Sherrye - I have thinking about you so much and hopeing that answers are coming your way too. Love to talk off line if you wish but just know you never leave my thoughts and prayers. I thank you also for the lifting hug - sure am needing those...

Linda you so right about the redirect - I have been listening to inspirational tapes of folks who have come back from much worse then I and it seems to help but I admit I deal much better with big things then those tiny daily bites you get from the outside world. Folks who know me know that I am the best person to have when the big stuff happens, emergency to deal with, sick and injuried loved ones but it is those things that seem to be so everyday that wears on me and then takes me to a place I do not wish to be. So again, I thank all my MJ Farmgirls for the love, kind words and support. Being here by myself I sometimes forget there are others in the world who are walking the same walk.
