Posted - Apr 27 2011 : 6:57:25 PM Our two dogs got zapped by a skunk just a few feet from the house door about 10 at night. They have to be inside at night because of the coyotes around here and we had to do something quick about the odor. I found a "recipe" on line that helped tremendously. 1 quart peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda and 1 tsp dish soap.
We sponged it on them and let it sit for about 10 minutes then gave them a bath. Be sure to keep it away from their eyes! It saved the day/night.

Posted - Apr 28 2011 : 6:34:20 PM We have a skunk who habitually visits. This is going to be necessary one day I'm sure. Between the chickens drawin em here, and the dogs goin crazy once they're here... thanks for posting!
