Posted - Apr 09 2011 : 10:25:11 AM Bella keeps shaking her head and scratching at her ears. I read that mineral oil, Vit-E oil will help to smother the little rascals and be soothing. Did that for a couple days. My daughter bought some over the counter drops and have been doing that that last couple days. She still is miserable and today seems out of sorts. Any suggestions?

Posted - Apr 11 2011 : 1:36:47 PM if there is some red areas or scabbing you might want to put some antibactic ointment in the ears first & once healed up nice then use the vaseline...I grew up using lard on a cloth that was wiped inside the ears of the dogs & cats....Michele'

Posted - Apr 09 2011 : 10:35:49 AM flush her ears out with hydrogen peroxide delutided 50%, too much oil and other products will create alot of muck down there and cause her equal librium to be off, plus cause pressure changes, and she could end up with an infection...
