So, ladies, if any of you use an incubator, do you gather up 10-20 eggs at a time over a few days and put them in the incubator? Or, do you wait until there is 10 in there and take them in all at once? I'm trying to convince my husband to get an incubator, as we're over-run with eggs and my hens aren't going broody. I'm unsure how to get the best results.
I have a hen who will sit on them for a couple days, then abandon the nest. :(

Gather daily, keep them in cartons on the counter inside (a cool place, but not the fridge), rotate by turning the carton on it's side each day, then when you have an incubator-full, fill it and start. Always plug in the incubator a day or so ahead to be sure it's working and up to temp. Good luck!
