Did a MJ magazine have a pattern to make saddle pads? If not, do any of you have a pattern, instructions, etc. you could share?

Oct-Nov 2009 issue (page 74) had an article on "repurposing" old wool blankets. MJ had a friend machine quilt a wool blanket into a saddle blanket. I'm not sure if this is what you were referring to but I happened upon the article.
