Hannah,

Panacur (fenbendazole) is listed to kill lungworm, as well as Droncit (praziquantel). Again, Panacur kills more worms than most of the other common wormers (such as pyrantel pamoate), so I'd try to locate a source for Panacur.

That helps me alot Amanda! Thank you so much! Does Pyrantel Pamoate cover lungworm too?! I wish I could find a dog wormer that treats all types of worms.
Hugs,
Hannah

Hannah,

Do you know what type of worms you are dealing with? Are you seeing worms in the poo? Or are you just asking for prevention reasons? If you are doing a general worming, I'd personally use Panacur (fenbendazole). Why? It controls roundworms, hookworms, and (harder to treat) whipworms. Hooks and whips can make a dog miserable and anemic...and can make them very ill. Rounds tend to make a dog look 'poor' as they rob it of nutrition.

If you are seeing long skinny worms, those are roundworms. If you are seeing rice like sections, that is tapeworms, and you must treat them with a different wormer. We used Droncit (a pill).

Pyrantel Pamoate is very widely available also, but it doesn't treat whipworms. You can find it at most any store that sells pet supplies. Panacur and Droncit will likely need to come from a vet. I think that you MAY be able to get Panacur at a feed store, but I don't know and I don't remember the dosage, though you can easily find it online.

Does that help you? :0)
