Posted - Jun 10 2010 : 12:56:38 PMhey kisten thanks for sending the rain!! it got here just in time to keep us from getting the fence done when we wanted to lol! we have been getting heaviy rain several times a day for the last few days. we needed it so badly! finally some of the smoke nad the pollen has been knocked down! we finally got the bull sperated yesterday afternoon and it looks like butter bucket is in labor today! talk about cutting it close! we were supposed to go to chitina for salmon dipnetting night before last but with the calf due any minute and it being an 8 hour drive (one way) and with no way to contact us, there we decided to stay home. we wouldnt have been home till at least tomorrow. the fence turned out very nice. it is 4 ft feild fence with a stand of hot barbed wire along the top. the solar fencer we bought didnt last one year so had to buy another fencer at the last niute. grrrrr. hope everyone and their critters are doign well. i see some have minor injuries which will hopefully heal quickly! a little note on tetenus is that after the first 24 hours you cant stop it! my aunt got it at 85 yrs old! they had to put her in a drug induced coma for 4 months! i pray that it does not turn out to be tetnus for you! peace connie in alaska

Posted - Jun 10 2010 : 5:41:29 PMConnie, it's doing the same thing here. We are soaked once again. I'm glad ya'll got some though. But sometimes it does come at bad times.
I'm glad you got the bull away from the cow. And she's in labor now? I just saw this so she may have already had a calf by now.
My finger is better than it was the other day. Still really red and purple and I am keeping it wrapped up most of the time now. It's going to take a few weeks to get it back to normal if it will. Thanks.
