Posted - Apr 19 2010 : 6:34:41 PM i can look in my chicken book tomorrow. if no one else has an idea. i know waterglass was used but i think you can use sterile mineral oil. i just am not sure without looking itup. sherrye

Posted - Apr 19 2010 : 5:48:23 PM I think the stuff my grandma used was called waterglass. She said it was slimy but stored the eggs good in the root cellar most of the winter. I don't know if thats what your looking for or not.
