I just got 30 baby chicks to add to the grown chickens I have. I love fresh eggs. Wondering if anyone has any ideas on keeping them all alive. I have always bought grown ones.

They shouldn't go outside until they are fully feathered. I keep mine inside, in a cardboard box with pine shavings, and a light on them for heat. If they are all huddled together and peeping loudly they are too cold. Happy chicken growing!

Keep them warm & keep fresh water available to them! Don't put them with the grown chickens until they are much bigger! Use a chick starter feed for the also. Hope this helps!
