Posted - Mar 21 2010 : 05:39:35 AM It is not good to put turkeys and chickens together. The turkey gets a desiese(sp) from chicken manure called Blackhead. Some people have luck with it but I didn't. God BLess Wendy |

Posted - Mar 20 2010 : 6:48:11 PM Nadine is right, she will not accept them if they are already hatched, she will peck them to death. If you have a good broody hen, she is worth her weihgt in gold, no need for an incubator, my broody hens have hatched, alot of chicks not their own, along with ducks, geese and guinias. But you have to slip the eggs under them, at night, and make sure that she hasn't benn sitting on her own for very long or she might abandon the eggs, thinking they are past time and dead.

Posted - Mar 20 2010 : 6:07:18 PM Depending on how big your hen is. But you need to slip the eggs under her at nitetime in the dark and let the eggs hatched under her. Most hens will not adopt chicks or baby turkeys right off..
