Posted - Mar 19 2010 : 06:48:53 AM Boy your husband sure has a brain on his shoulders that is the best incubator I think I have ever seen. It looks much better then the large ones you purchase. It is much more portable. Now the picture of you DH being prude of his work is something as well. You have a very good one there take good care of him. Lilly

Posted - Mar 19 2010 : 06:39:58 AM Ah Amy! I think that is the sweetest story ever. I wish you good luck and that all 12 eggs hatch and they are all hens. Wouldn't that be great if that came true?

Posted - Mar 19 2010 : 06:32:57 AM We are incubating eggs also. Hubby built our incubator with a styrofoam cooler, so it definitely isn't as fancy as yours. On Sunday or Monday we will candle the eggs to see which ones have growth. We are starting with 14 eggs. One of our Rhode Island Red hens has decided to set this year too, so we may have more chicks than we want. That's OK, another friend will take some, they are trying to build up their flock. Lots of luck! Marcie

Posted - Mar 19 2010 : 05:47:41 AM Thanks, Karen...I always tell Jay he's so handy that I could rent him out. He just blushes and says, "Aw, I'm nothin' special." Just like a farmboy. Gotta love the humility. Humble men are that much hotter!!
