My older Sienna has come into heat and put Big Al back to "work". I saw her standing under his neck, leaning on his chest and he had his tongue hanging out, humming to her. He does not let her get more than a couple of feet away, before he puts his neck over her back, out comes that tongue and the humming starts againOf course, no camera but I will try to get a good picture tomorrow. If she breeds this weekend, the kids will be due 1 week after Mi Hija's kids. Sienna's milk production has dropped to half, sure am going to miss that fresh goat milkHoping for does this year.

Well shoot! I did try the apple cider vinegar in the water this time, too. And I used new bucks. So we'll see.

Kristen, remember that the male in all species determines the sex of the off spring, so you need to talk to them boys.

I am hoping for some does, too. Last year out of 13 kids there were only 2 does. I have had some serious talks with those girls. I rub their tummies and wish for girls. Maybe this will be a female year. Here's hoping!

I hope the breeding goes well and you get some nice healthy kids. Mine are due about the end of March. I really miss that milk, too.

I hope you get does as well--but all kids are cute, maybe that's what Big Al is telling Sienna.
