Posted - Jan 04 2010 : 8:39:37 PM Well she is almost new! She was born on Nov. 22nd. She is quite the girl. Her arabic name is Elmasah WWA. It means precious gem so we call her Ruby. She was born baby but will be grey. She is one of our best foal to date and we are very proud of her. I am not sure if I will keep her or sell her. Here are a few pictures of her. I can't wait to she how she looks in the Spring.

Posted - Jan 19 2010 : 6:22:12 PM She is adorable, I have had a lot of new babies but I have always wanted a new colt we have everything we need mares and studs but no babies. Ok I guess I can give him alittle slack last fall he had just got old enough to take care of business. But I can't help but to be antsy, to me every new animal we get on the farm is like my own {to a point I'm not getting up in the middle of the night anymore unless I have to}LOL. Well congradulations she's a beaut. Sam |

Posted - Jan 16 2010 : 11:02:18 AM Arabians are very loyal and very smart. Good for your daughter with the barrel racing. That is wonderful to hear. These horses are very versatile and can do just about anything that the other breeds can do.

Posted - Jan 09 2010 : 1:54:43 PM She is beautiful! Congrats.
My daughter has ridden an Arabian for almost 10 years. He is so loyal to her and will try just about anything for her. A few years ago, she started barrel racing. Her first time out we heard snickers from the audience because they thought he was too small compared to the other barrel horses. Well, they had to suck those snickers back in when they timed out at 17 seconds and beat the others.
BLESSINGS Catherine

Posted - Jan 09 2010 : 1:23:46 PM What a beautiful baby! Congratulations! Horses always fascinate me. I've never had any, but it's one of those things I wish I had been exposed to as a child. |

Posted - Jan 09 2010 : 1:12:35 PM She's gorgeous! A little polish gelding practically raised me :) I still miss him (he passed on a few years ago after being in our family for over 20 years). I don't think I could breed; I'd become waaaay too attached! |

Posted - Jan 07 2010 : 9:58:34 PM Oh Cindy I hope so! That would be nice. We are still not sure if we are going to sell her or keep her yet. I really like her but I have the baby factory as my DH says! She is the only baby of her sire so far and his lines are very rare but I already have 16 horses.

Posted - Jan 05 2010 : 7:28:41 PM Winona WOW, No it didn't do that for me. I copied the website off of the tool bar. Go to www.ecahs.org (Eastern Crabbet Arabian Horse Society) Just type that in your tool bar. It should take you there with no problems. I just did it and it was fine.

Posted - Jan 05 2010 : 5:48:26 PM Thanks for the link...however, when I clicked on it, my virus ware went nuclear and said it was an infected site and don't go further. Did it do that with you? The one pic I did see, the grey in the upper right hand corner is one pic I saw on Wikipedia, or similar spot.

Posted - Jan 05 2010 : 12:37:04 PM Winona, My friend said that she raised Crabbets but had never heard anything about the bracelet marking. I put in a request for the best website on Crabbet/CMK bred horses. I know the K in the CMK is for Mr. Kellogg of the Kellogg cereal. You can put a search in for him and about his legacy he left with Cal Poly University. Very interesting! I love to search the web and read all about the older bloodlines since now I have some new horses with Heirloom and Sheykh Obeyed lines. All new for me to learn but still within the Straight Egyptian lines. I have a few wonderful mentors to call when I need help. It can get very confusing. Alee, yes, she was born bay but will be grey. Shooting for Black next season. Did I tell you we have a new black stallion. Masada El Shahwan He has grandget over in France doing very well in Endurance and he is homozygous for the black gene. So I will be breeding most of the girls to him to try for some color. I know Ruby's mom will produce Black for her first baby was black and she sold to France.

Posted - Jan 05 2010 : 08:05:35 AM So Jen, you don't think she will stay bay? That looks a lot like Tala's coloring when she was a baby. But then again I find the transformation from colored to gray facinating! I can't wait to see more pictures of her!
