Hi!! I am getting a new blue French Angora buck bunny (Yay! Yippee!!) and I need a name for him so I'm having a naming contest/giveaway on my blog. If you can think of any Hobbitish names that might work (my other two are Merry and Pippin and I'm liking the sound of Hobbit names for bunnies) see my blog for details on how to enter. You could win something!!

Great choice! I loved "Monarch of the Glen" too! I really was disappointed when the series ended. I hope you enjoy your new bunny!

Call him Hamfast! When he gets old, you can refer to him as "the gaffer".

Mikalino, like the matchmaker in the "Quiet Man". An impish if not magical funny little man that steels the show...Debbie

I think Merry or Pippin would be a great choice!

How about Hobbit? I actually think it's cute!

Starbucks and sushi to green fried tomatoes and corn pudding-I wouldn't change it for the world.

I like Frodo for a bunny! That name makes me think of rabbits for some reason! ~Stacey

" Shadow Fax", was the name of the wizards (and sorry can't think of his name off the top of my head) horse, in the original books, he was a silver grey.

You should name him Elrond. A silver angora bunny needs an elvish name methinks.

PS My dog is named Gimli (like the dwarf)

Check out the hobbit name generator. http://www.myprecious.us/name_generator.php

Angora Bunny becomes: Sogrin 'Goldfather' Rumble, Mayor of the Shire
and Buck Bunny becomes: Merom 'Goldfather' Rumble of Buckland

Give him a great big name!

You can even get a new name for yourself!

StarMeadow translates into: Amadrierith High Queen of the Elves.... if I want to be an Elf....

But I think I'll be a wizard because that is: Alatar, Lady of Forests and I kinda fancy being a "lady" of the Forests. Even though I'm probably more like a dwarf than an elf LOL (short and plump with red hair...) Still as a dwarf I'd be: Brerka, Queen of the Glittering Caves. And I mean...who wouldn't want to be "queen" of a glittering cave?
