Posted - Jun 09 2009 : 5:07:14 PM if you use a rhode island red rooster and barred rock hen you get sex link chicks (you tell at hatching the sex by the color) does anyone know if using the opposite (barred rock roo and rir hen)come up with the same thing? if it does we got all babys roosters!! peace connie in alaska |

Posted - Jun 09 2009 : 5:56:31 PM That's way too confusing for me, Connie! I hope someone has the answer. Maybe Dawn. So what do you get with a BR roo and an OEBantam hen? I have 5 chicks and they look BR and I think there may be just 1 little hen. Maybe 2.
If they are all roos you'll have roasters for the winter!
