Posted - Jun 05 2009 : 06:21:09 AM I just finished the manners matters dog training class locally. My chocolate lab is so well behaved now, even though she is only 13 months old, she obeys! Well worth the time if any one has been thinking of doing anything like it. I am thinking of doing the citizenship class s oshe can be a therapy dog, any advice on this out there?? |

Posted - Jun 08 2009 : 06:20:50 AM Kelly, I have a yellow lad mix and he's a mess. I was going to take him to a class here but he does not get along with other dogs at all. Even when I take him to the vet we have to stay outside because I'm afriaf he'll kill something while we wait.
I have seen the video on dog trianing but it's about $35 and I can't get that now. A friend of mine in Trion trains seeing eye dogs and probably knows about the therapy trianing, too. I'll ask her.
Congratulations on your good dog finishing her class!

Posted - Jun 06 2009 : 07:17:04 AM Kelly, I wish I had taken my dogs as pups. We seldom take them anywhere because they are so big and they think that everyone should love them. Well, everyone SHOULD love them, but they don't. LOL! You did the right thing. You will always be proud of your well mannered girl.
