I love how Shetland and Icelandic (what I have) look so much alike in the face...my oldest son always thinks my Juliet looks like an elk in the face (!) sort of an insult. I think they are beautiful!

To answer a couple of you..Alice is about 4 and she is a rescue cat..supposedly Himalayan or something like that. She is really aloof and funny and sleeps with my youngest daughter. I get a kick out of her..she is really funny....likes things a certain way. My boys love to "mess with her mind" by moving her things around..it drives her nuts.

Jonni, I'll have to ask my momif she has any. It was so long ago and most of my kid pictures are gone. My aunt in Calif. has lots of pictures of us so she might have a few. Cleo was the neatest dog. I loved her lots. She is the only dog I remember of when I was little.

And if Nikki and Cherry come to see me soon I'll see if they can take some pictures and post them here for me.

Oh, thank you, Jenny. Daisy is a wonderful little girl--she's the "cat whisperer" as you might already notice. She's a type known in Kentucky as a Kentucky Field Beagle. Very small, stout and like a little rocket. She's faster than our German Shepherd!

I thought I only coveted your Mona, Jenny, but in truth, I covet your Juliet, too!!! The rest of your animal family is wonderful, too. Like you, I love to surround myself with fur babies, too.

Zan, taking care of the baby and the clan isn't much different, really. They still do the same things, and we make sure to take them on their long walks in the woods every other day, and they really enjoy the baby (so far--she's not pulling hair yet!).

Thanks, Yasmine--Finn is my soulmate (don't tell my husband!). He is an English Setter/American Staffordshire Terrier mix, and he is my best friend. There is not another dog on the planet that's as good as he is. He is completely above reproach--never pottied in the house, never tore even a piece of paper up. He spends his days trying to please me and he succeeds overwhelmingly. I am soooo lucky he wandered to my door one Spring day!

Kris, I've only ever seen all white Samoyeds--how neat to have a black spot over the eye. You wouldn't happen to have any pics of Cleo, would you?

Jenny, Mona is so cute with the tongue in the nose. My grandkids think that's the funniest theng ever when our cow Mazie does that.

I wish I could put pictures on here. I have so many critters. One day soon, though. I'll figure out how, too. I am loving all the cute animals.

Jonni. when I was a kid I had a Samoyed named Cleo that had the same patch over her eye. That reminded me of her.

Jonni...your Daisy is adorable. I have basset hounds and love beagles too.
Here are a couple of critter pics from around here...
an old favorite one of Mona, doing her best trick
Juliet, my favorite ewe. She turned 9 this spring.
Pearl, the angora goat, Mona's best buddy.
Alice, our very silly cross-eyed cat.

My photos will be here soon! I figured out how to do it!

Alright, Yasmine....you asked for it!

This first pic knocks out 3 out of our 7 pets

Daisy (Beagle), Jack and Stooka (black/white cat and gray cat)

Here are two more, Finn and Rose (Finn is the white dog, Rose, the Shepherd)

This is Elie

And this is the couch group again, except instead of Jack there's Professor Pumpkin, the orange cat

I use photobucket...it's really pretty simple. Gabe and the folks at MJF can help with any questions you have. The "Tech help" section gives some great instructions on posting pics.

Can't wait to see your clan!
