Friday I picked up two little goat kids. They are Sanaan bucks and will help me learn to spaek goat and to clear my property. I have never worked much with goats but they are so smart and so funny, they are only 3 weeks old and are getting bottle fed. I love them. Also, my chicks are supposed to come this week (15 Buff Orpingtons), everythign is set to go for them. My garden is almost planted and the horse pasture fence is up. I am sooo excited! here we go.....!!

Hi Adrianne! Where in Chazy are you? We moved to OH a couple of years ago, but lived in Champlain (well, actually Coopersville, if you know where that is betw Champlain and Rouses Pt) I REALLY miss NY!

Sounds like you are getting it all together there. You will love the new boys, although bottle fed kids can become somewhat annoying with the jumping and being right under foot all the time. But very friendly. I ended up with 11 bucks and only 2 does this year. And I also have Buffs. They are so pretty. So keep us posted on the goings on at your little farm.
