graciegreeneyes	Posted - Apr 29 2009 : 6:39:58 PM We are getting our baby chicks tomorrow and will be building the coop/run in the next week - the spot we had picked out is under a mountain ash tree. Is it okay for chickens to eat the mountain ash berries? I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere, hoping one of you super-knowledgeable farmgirls knows!! twzlrwho	Posted - Apr 30 2009 : 05:50:50 AM I don't think so. They are so acidic even humans can't eat them raw. Someone else might know more but my guess is no. Good Luck and congrats on your new babies. You had me curious and so I looked around. I found someone writing about wildbirds eating them so maybe it is possible.
