Some friends of mine are taking some horses down to Kentucky to a big Horse Show (The Egyptian Event) and need someone to watch the remaining horses, goats, dogs, cows, donkey, chickens....
And guess who gets to do it?! Yep! I am so excited! I have missed that place so much! It's my second home!
So I will be in Idaho, but too busy to visit from the last week of May-June 10th or so!
I am so excited!!

Posted - Apr 29 2009 : 8:53:18 PM Michelle- I think you can water root brambles, but I am not sure. I will look it up tonight.
Cindy- I would love to meet you. I might, on the return trip drive the LoLo canyon for old time's sake (That was how I originally entered Idaho for the first time). We'll see.
This isn't 100% firm yet. My friends want me to come but they have yet to hear back from another gal too who maybe more local- not sure. So I'll keep ya all upto date. I should know for sure by the end of the week.

Posted - Apr 29 2009 : 7:54:44 PM Hey Alee, Good deal on the working vacation thing. Are you going through Idaho on 90 or will you be coming down 12 at all? If you'll be coming down 12 maybe I could meet you in Orofino for lunch on your way through. 12 runs right by "Petticoat Junction", I mean Peck.(my own nickname for this town) Anyway, let me know, we could just meet, eat, and you could be on your way as I wouldn't want to hold you up or make you late.

Posted - Apr 29 2009 : 1:43:50 PM Alee, I'll be sure to set you up with some wild blackberry bramble cuttings if you want them. I don't know how cuttings do? I thought it was best to bend a cane and get it rooted first, then make the cut from the "mother" plant. Not sure we have enough lead time to get that rooted, but if you find that cuttings will work, I can get them for you. Totally understand about your friends and their farm privacy. We'll figure out something that works for you and them. :) Would be good to see you! See what that nice squirrel was talking about. :)

Posted - Apr 28 2009 : 8:36:19 PM Hi Michelle! I will have to talk to my ranch friends to see how they feel about me having a friend come visit- since they won't be there I will have to respect their wishes of course. However, if nothing else maybe we could have some time together before I go back but once the ranch owners are back. I am thinking I will swing through the Spokane way to say "hi" to some friends on my way back. I wish I could justify swinging by the black berry patch to cut some bambles!

Posted - Apr 28 2009 : 2:31:17 PM You ornery tease! I got so excited, then puzzled and worried about your Montana dreams, then giggled. So, what about visitors who aren't afraid to pick up a muck bucket with you? :) There's just got to be an hour or so we could squeeze in a visit. :) So glad you're back for a "working vacation".
