Posted - Apr 19 2009 : 2:34:00 PM The new girls are settling in just fine. Theyare really trying their wings out. They run in & out the side pen into their night pen and the older 3 hens are not the least bit bothered by them. I spent another hour inthe studio this morning trying to make a suitable nest for the two that are laying, Yes, Miss Goldie is still ruling the nest. Dottie and Lucy have settled on their own nests this morning & immediately laid me an egg each for me. I think They like their new spots as much as Miss Goldie loves hers. I think Miss Goldie is going to get anew name.."Queenie"

Posted - Apr 17 2009 : 6:53:12 PM I am glad you got your new girls home and settled in. They are so cute. They'll be big enough in no time and ready to be out with their new sisters soon. Have fun with them, Cheryl.
