My neighbors cow, just gave birth to a baby calf, about an hour ago I can see her cleaning her baby from my living room window. I love the country! Every year around this time, I get to witness this miracle! New life makes me think about spring. Springtime is NEW LIFE!
Oh my it just stood up with Mama cow's encouragement! Mama is brown, her baby is black. So cute!

Arn't calves adorable??!!! I wish there would be a new one here this spring..but Mona calved so late last year (Halloween) that we won't get a new baby this spring..I will be milking her until fall and then she will be dry next winter and calve the next spring. Such a long wait!!
