Annabelle, our Bassett, is a goofball - she just took off barking at the doorbell on the TV commercial. We have never had a house with a doorbell, how does she know what it means?

So I was watching this western on tv the other night with horses whinnying and my horse hears this outside (the barn is close to the house) and starts whinnying back! I stood out at her stall and could hear the tv. She started pacing and calling out all confused. She just couldn't figure out how I had a whole herd of galloping horses in my one room cabin! Nothing gets by our animals, eh?

Amy Grace,

Funny how animals seem to be so tuned to what's going on and always alert to new sounds...unlike me who, on some days, is totally clueless!

Bassett hounds..what sweet faces they have.
